Job Description :

KCR Solutions are working this fantastic organisation who are offering an excellent opportunity to join their growing finance team. A position has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant supporting the Finance Manager.

They operate a hybrid working model and this role will be split between our office location and remote working.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Calculation of Depreciation, Prepayments, Accruals, and Other Provisions
  • Ensure accurate calculation and recording of these financial elements.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Responsible for credit card management, including approvals and payments.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Support the preparation of month-end accounts and financial statements.
  • Help with the transition and integration of financial data into the new finance system.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for interim and year-end audits.
  • Liaise with auditors and provide required information.
  • Compile and prepare month-end reports for review by senior management.
  • Generate reports as needed to support management decisions.
  • Handle daily banking activities and transaction approvals.
  • Expense Claim Processing
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of payroll accounts.
  • Provide support and cover for other finance team members as needed.
  • Engage in additional tasks and responsibilities as opportunities arise.

The Person

Ideally AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA. Those qualified by experience will also be considered.

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. ERP experience would be advantageous.

Experience of working with different accounting packages

Experience working in a shared service or central finance function with an understanding of good process and best practice preferred

Strong Excel skills

Excellent interpersonal skills – an ability to communicate with various stakeholders and team members across the Group

Strong attention to detail and organisation skills

HYBRID WORKING - 3 days office and 2 days working from home.

Salary : 27000 - 32000
