$2000 RETENTION BONUSParticipating Employer: MI Tr-Share Child Care Program*Your child cost is reduced by 66% for eligible employees*IT Help Desk SpecialistIn this role, you will provide maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk. You will be responsible for the administration and internal support of the Company's PCs and assist with servers and related equipment. Tasks include end-user support, inventory tracking, and performing PC maintenance, upgrades, and configurations.Essential Duties / Responsibilities:Provide Technical SupportServe as a primary point of contact for internal team members, providing friendly and efficient support for all IT-related issues.Work collaboratively with the IT team to resolve or escalate incoming support tickets on time.Manage End-User ComputersManage the full lifecycle of end-user devices, including staging, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripherals on desktop and laptop computers.Administer User AccountsManage user account lifecycles, including creation, modification, and termination in various systems.Update and maintain user access permissions in identity systems such as Active Directory and O365/Azure/Entra ID, as well as other application-specific systems.Maintain IT InventoryAssist in tracking and managing the inventory of all computers and network equipment.Participating in IT ProjectsSupport and contribute to IT projects beyond daily helpdesk tasks.Assist with deploying new applications, systems, servers, and network infrastructure.Create and Maintain DocumentationDevelop and update technical documentation and system diagrams.Create clear and concise guides to help both technical and non-technical users.Effectively communicate complex technical information to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Proficiency with major PC software packages (MS Office, Windows)Basic understanding of Windows networking and administration is desirableFamiliarity with Windows Server environmentHandle research options and research computer bugs and their solutionsTech-savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, networks, and remote controlGood understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech productsAbility to diagnose and resolve fundamental technical issuesOutstanding communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with peopleStrong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving abilityPrevious experience in which high levels of initiative, judgment, and tact have been demonstratedProven ability to operate in high-pressure situations and successfully handle multiple priorities while remaining flexibleSuperior customer service skills at all levels within a team environmentQualifications:Two years' experience preferred, Help Desk TechnicianAssociate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field preferredIndustry certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.) are preferredExcellent attendance recordWork Environment:Sitting/Standing combination between office work & working on the plant floorModerate physical activity, such as walking and lifting, is required dailySafety gear, such as approved safety glasses, is required at all timesClean climate-controlled manufacturing environmentBenefits – start on the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment:Health InsuranceHealth Savings AccountVision InsuranceDental Insurance401(k) with employer match plus employer contributionCompany-paid Short-term DisabilityCompany-paid Long-term DisabilityCompany-paid Life InsuranceBenefits – Additional:Paid Time Off available after 60 days of employment401K with employer match after 6 months of employmentQuarterly bonus programEmployment Criteria:This position includes access or potential access to ITAR technical data.
