MUSC is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join our team in providing critical care to procedural areas across our healthcare enterprise. Sterile Processing Technicians ensure procedural equipment consistently meets the highest quality and safety standards and is ready for use by all areas across the healthcare enterprise. This position receives and processes incoming supplies and equipment including performing cleaning and sterilizing duties and is an integral part of the daily operation of all units. Duties include:

Non-Certified Sterile Processing Technician High school diploma or GED
Sterile Processing Technician I High school diploma or GED, and certification through CRCST - HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution)
Sterile Processing Technician II High school diploma or GED, and certification through CRCST - HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution). At least twelve (12) months' experience in sterile processing required for this role
Sterile Processing Technician III High school diploma or GED, and certification through CRCST - HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution). At least two (2) years of experience in sterile processing required for this role
Preferred Requirements:
Shifts are offered on varying schedules based on the needs of each area:
First shift 7:00am 3:30pm
Second shift 3:00pm 11:30pm
Third shift 11:00pm 7:30am
Weekend shifts 7:00am 7:00pm, or 7:00pm 7:00am
Holiday and emergency management or disaster work is required. Weekend rotation may be required.
