Overview
Senior Data Analyst at Livepeer. We are seeking a detail-oriented, inquisitive, self-driven, and highly collaborative analyst to enable data-driven decision making across product, marketing, growth, operations and engineering. The role focuses on building clear, actionable reporting, surfacing insights that unlock growth, and ensuring our teams have the data they need to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with product, growth, and marketing teams as an independent analytics partner, requiring minimal oversight
- Develop deep expertise in this team's data and communicate insights in intuitive ways
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that track key performance metrics
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure data quality, reliable pipelines, and well-modeled data for analysis
- Proactively surface insights and opportunities partners may not explicitly request
- Identify gaps in tracking or data coverage and work with leadership/engineering to close them
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support leadership decision-making
- Translate data into actionable insights, including visualizations, written reports, and presentations
- Contribute to the development of best practices for data modeling, dashboarding, and documentation
- Continuously improve the analytics stack and identify opportunities to automate recurring workflows
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Senior Data Analyst
- Strong proficiency in SQL (ClickHouse, Postgres, BigQuery)
- Experience with Metabase for dashboarding and reporting
- Experience with PostHog for product analytics and event tracking
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and scripting
- Familiarity with dbt for data modeling and transformation
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and data quality
- Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leaders
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, unstructured conversations, and frequent ad-hoc requests
- Curious, self-driven learner who can independently learn new tools and find solutions to blockers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with product managers, marketers, and engineers
- Understanding of modern data stack practices and event-driven analytics
- Interest in growing into analytics engineering responsibilities (dbt modeling, SQL pipelines)
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Location preference within the Western Hemisphere, aligned with Central US time zone (± a few hours)
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: 50,000 - 150,000 USD per year, depending on experience and location
- Token package with a 3-year vesting schedule
