We are seeking a strategic and safety-driven Transport Fleet Maintenance Leader to support and lead transport maintenance operations across eastern Ohio. This role is critical to ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our fleet assets through oversight of proprietary maintenance facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring safe operations for all employees and compliance with safety standards.
  • Supports the strategic and daily activities of MPC's transport maintenance operations. This includes the oversight of multiple geographically separated proprietary garages, a staff of mechanics, as well as multiple third-party maintenance garages across MPC's transport operations.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and reliability of a defined region. This includes but not limited to evaluating operational performance at the service center level to ensure that MPC's objectives are met.
  • Drives, aligns, and contributes with supporting regions to the standardization of procedures for all preventative and reactive maintenance activities with the transport operations.
  • Stays abreast and implements efficiencies and best practices.
  • Provides competitive service for the MPC fleet in relation to industry maintenance facilities to ensure value to the transport division.
  • Oversees the use of maintenance software to optimize maintenance and fleet utilization.
  • Supports company goals by reducing third-party costs and limiting the downtime of our tractor/trailers.
  • Conducts training with site personnel relative to issues found during the evaluation and/or audits at the site level.
  • Performs root cause analysis of issues that may occur in your region and assist the team in developing strategies to improve the operations. This includes support in the development of new service standards to all regions.
  • Completes inventory audits within your supporting region to ensure accuracy and limit any losses to the organization.
  • Drives key metrics/KPI's within your region by providing hands on training with the fleet maintenance software and provide counsel when needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• High School Diploma or GED required.• Five (5) years experience in the maintenance and service field or a Bachelor's degree and two (2) years experience in the maintenance and service field.
