Position Description:
- Gathering daily broker files and ACE data for adds to merged reporting files used by Finance. This involves pulling ACE data, confirming receipt of Buckland's data, pushing EXL data, uploading files to the Teams site, and eventually taking over this process from Finance. This will transition to monthly reporting, focusing resources on the last two weeks of data to ensure completeness.
- Investigating duty spikes within specific weekly time frames for reporting meetings.
- Data mining for escalations reports and further investigations, including factors like HTS, part number, supplier, FTA, duties paid, COO, etc.
- Data mining and investigating specific requests from Sales, Purchasing, and other areas, summarizing findings, and verifying data accuracy. Actions may include duty recovery, broker filing changes, missing documentation, or additional solicitations.
- Utilizing multiple information sources such as broker spreadsheets, 7501 entry packages, certificates, etc., which is labor-intensive.
- Post-entry/duty recovery efforts: completing backlog filings, monitoring broker actions, resolving data discrepancies, coordinating meetings to close investigations, etc.
- Including some normal post-entry activities to ensure all corrections and adjustments are completed simultaneously.
- Tracking duty refunds and ensuring proper allocation back to G/L codes. Preparing periodic reports and presentations, such as weekly calls with PUR.
- Performing other activities as they are identified.
Skills Required:
- 3-5 years of import/export experience with shipments to various global countries.
- Strong knowledge of shipment/entry documentation, specific documentation requirements, and record-keeping.
- Understanding of FTA/COO certificates, including eligibility status.
- Knowledge of classifications/tariffs; global experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Strong data analytical skills with Excel, Power BI, Power Query.
- Ability to develop and standardize reports, automating processes where possible.
- Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.
Experience Required:
- 5-10 years of import/export experience with shipments to various global countries.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields. Customs certifications are a plus.
