Buyer/Planner (Entry-Level / Development Role)

  • Location: 10323 Greenland Ct Stafford TX 77477 Reports To: Supply Chain Manager

  • Position Overview

  • The Buyer/Planner supports both purchasing and production planning activities to help ensure materials are available and production schedules run smoothly. This is a growth-oriented role, designed for someone with a strong interest in supply chain or manufacturing operations who will be trained internally on procurement, work order creation, and production scheduling.

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Purchasing & Procurement

  • Assist in creating and managing purchase orders for raw materials, components, and services.

  • Communicate with suppliers to track order status and resolve delivery issues.

  • Support vendor management by maintaining accurate records of purchase orders and supplier data.

  • Planning & Scheduling

  • Help create and release work orders to align with customer demand and production capacity.

  • Support the development and adjustment of production schedules.

  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in balancing supply with production needs.

  • Collaboration & Learning

  • Work closely with supply chain, production, and warehouse teams to understand material flow.

  • Learn and use ERP/MRP systems for purchasing and scheduling.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience/interest in manufacturing operations).

  • 0–2 years of experience in a supply chain, purchasing, planning, or related role (internships or transferable work experience welcome).

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn ERP/MRP systems.

  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Hands-on training in procurement processes, vendor management, and production scheduling.

  • Exposure to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

  • Opportunity to advance into more senior supply chain, planning, or procurement roles as experience is gained.
