Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lean Practitioner to support the BDS Operational Excellence Team in Tukwila, Seattle, Everett, Renton, or Auburn, WA.
The successful candidate will be a Lean+ / Lean manufacturing expert to support Boeing Production System implementation and maturity and work collaboratively with BDS Plant manufacturing teams to drive Cost of Function project execution.
This person will be responsible for working in partnership with BDS programs / plant manufacturing teams and fabrication Centers of Excellence, along with other stakeholders throughout the enterprise, to drive the integration of BPS / Operational Excellence best practices to enable world-class manufacturing system performance and efficiency.
The successful candidate will be expected to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach with internal and external partners and leverage his/her knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean Six Sigma, safety, quality, productivity, and affordability to shape the planning, development, and execution of Boeing Production Systems solutions to satisfy program needs.
Lead and develop Lean strategies for Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) to include all facets/ functions of businessRepresent Lean / continuous improvement function in program reviews and strategic planningOperationalize data analytics into daily Lean practice and prioritiesDevelops and updates instructional materialsGuides the effective application and integration of LEAN implementationLeads and facilitates complex and high visibility process improvement effortsDevelops an integrated strategy and assists with its strategic deploymentApplies and integrates improvement processes and tools across Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B)Leads and facilitates the improvement and standardization of enterprise policies and procedures8+ years of experience implementing lean principles, to include identifying opportunities and making recommendations for value stream improvements that resulted in improved business position through culture transformation.8+ years of experience planning and facilitating Lean workshops (e.g., Bachelor's degree or higherProject management certificationKnowledge and application of the Boeing Production System (BPS)Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies .
