THIS ROLE IS A HYBRID OPPORTUNITY ON SITE T/W/TH AT INSIGHT GLOBAL HEAQUARTERS IN DUNWOODY

Position Summary:

The SharePoint Administrator will be responsible for the architecture, administration, governance, security, and operational integrity of the organization's SharePoint environment (both on-premises and/or SharePoint Online). This role ensures alignment with organizational needs, compliance, and user satisfaction, while enabling collaboration and content management capabilities across the enterprise. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in SharePoint configuration, user support, automation, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the creation, configuration, and lifecycle management of SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and metadata.
  • Maintain governance standards for content types, templates, taxonomy, and naming conventions.
  • Ensure version control, document retention policies, and secure access mechanisms are consistently applied.
  • Manage and maintain SharePoint search configuration, hubs, navigation, and enterprise metadata.
  • Implement and manage user access control, including permission groups, roles, and inheritance structures.
  • Perform regular audits of access and data integrity across all SharePoint environments.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards.
  • Design and deploy business process automation using Power Automate (formerly Flow), SharePoint Designer, and Microsoft Power Platform tools.
  • Build and maintain forms using Power Apps or InfoPath (legacy support as required).
  • Integrate SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 tools like Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook.
  • Regularly monitor performance metrics and conduct health checks.
  • Implement updates, patches, and version upgrades with minimal disruption.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related incidents and service requests within SLA targets.
  • Analyze usage patterns and storage trends to proactively optimize performance.
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Coordinate with the Infrastructure team to ensure high availability (99.9%+ uptime).
  • Support audit and compliance efforts related to content management and access control.
  • Act as the SME for SharePoint, providing support and training to site owners and users.
  • Develop and maintain end-user documentation, governance guides, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with departments to develop SharePoint solutions that meet evolving business needs.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • User Satisfaction: ? 90% satisfaction (based on survey feedback)
  • Average Response Time for Issues: < 24 hours
  • Security & Data Cleanliness Compliance: 100% of sites reviewed and optimized
  • Workflow Automation Efficiency: Reduction of manual tasks/processes by at least 30%

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (required)
  • ITIL v4 Foundation (preferred)

Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint 2016/2019 (Hybrid experience is a plus)
  • 2+ years working with Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps
  • Experience integrating SharePoint with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated experience in disaster recovery planning and execution
  • Experience supporting mid-to-large enterprise environments with over 500 users

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with SharePoint Online Admin Center, Central Administration, PowerShell scripting
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services, Azure Active Directory, and Exchange Online
  • Experience with tools like ShareGate, Nintex, Metalogix, or AvePoint (optional)
  • Understanding of web parts, content types, site columns, lists, libraries, and web templates
