The BI Analyst II, under minimal direction, utilizes data and information to answer questions, address organizational issues, or identify solutions to opportunities in a quantifiable manner. This entails working with customers to identify their needs, identifying and assessing data sources that can be used to satisfy those needs, and manipulating that data using a variety of reporting and analytical tools to present information in a meaningful and actionable way. The analyst will integrate data from disparate sources to provide new insights, and will design and develop visualizations, interactive dashboards, and other displays to communicate results effectively. The BI Analyst II will demonstrate mastery of at least one tool and competency in a number of other data management and analysis techniques to accomplish their tasks. The BI Analyst II will engage independently or with minimal direction on small to medium work assignments, or, under direction on larger assignments or as a contributor on larger projects.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Technical or related field (e.g. Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics) Required
Master's Degree in Technical or related field (e.g. Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics) Preferred
Experience:
3 years experience and knowledge using SQL in Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2 or other relational database Required
3 years experience in data analysis and tools Required
3 years experience in database and information systems technology Required
3 years experience in developing with Tableau, Qlik, Crystal Reports, WebIntelligence, Cognos, MicroStrategy or other major end-user data access toolset Required
3 years experience with full development life-cycle projects Required
