Job Summary:
Space Planner will lead and coordinate facilities space planning for SUNY Upstate Hospitals and shared Campus spaces. This role will work closely with Facilities Design and Construction, Physical Plant, and Hospital and Campus administration to identify the needs and achieve the goals of the instructions regarding optimization and utilization of space. This position will be responsible for wayfinding and regulatory signage for the institution. It will also manage common area furniture and seating.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3years project management experience or associates degree and minimum 5 years of project management experience plus excellent written/oral communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical and computer skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare Facility Planning Knowledge
Understanding of clinical workflows and patient care requirements.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., FGI Guidelines, ADA, NFPA).
