Job Summary and QualificationsUnder general supervision, and according to general policies and procedures, the patient safety coordinator supports the patient safety department in the maintenance of the grievance process, the patient safety event surveillance system to improve patients and visitor safety and overall quality of care and assisting in risk related activities. Revisions to the job description and accountabilities may be required due to patient care needs and/or efficient operation of the hospital. The Patient Safety Coordinator (PSC) will be advised in writing of any changes. It is also understood that the job description is not all-inclusive and you may be required to perform other related duties.
What qualifications you will need:Required Education and Experience: Associate's degree or Bachelors degree in healthcare related fields and 1+ year(s) of experience in healthcare
Preferred Education and Experience: 1+ year(s) of experience in quality and/or patient safety/risk management; 1+ year(s) of experience in managing software reporting program.
Preferred License, Certifications: Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management or CPPS or other healthcare related program
