IT Systems Administrator

As an IT Systems Administrator, you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining our computer systems and networks. You'll assess the organization's needs for computers and network infrastructure, then design and implement solutions accordingly. Your work will include defining requirements for end-user devices and network connectivity, maintaining hardware and systems, and keeping software up to date. Ultimately, you'll ensure business continuity by maximizing system uptime and maintaining a viable disaster recovery plan.

Implement and maintain security best practices for Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.

Support and maintain cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS), ensuring seamless, secure integration with on-premises systems.

Administer Azure AD, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.

Enforce Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls, including Conditional Access policies, MFA, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).

Partner with Cybersecurity and IT teams to implement vulnerability management and system hardening.

Audit security controls on a regular basis.

Collaborate with teams to effectively respond to security events and incidents.

Ensure compliance with company security policies, best practices, and legal/regulatory requirements.

Contribute to the design, testing, implementation, and support of information security controls.

Continuously seek opportunities to optimize cybersecurity operations, improve efficiency, and streamline workflows with modern technologies.

Explore the use of Generative AI and other emerging technologies to enhance system performance and automation.

Provided Tier 1 and Tier 2 helpdesk support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues while ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service.

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

57 years of experience in IT systems administration, with strong expertise in Microsoft 365 ecosystem, Entra AD, Cisco products (Meraki, ISE, Secure Client, Duo).

Experience with Intune, Defender for Cloud Apps, Crowdstrike, and security automation.

Experience with Linux management and administration required, particularly Ubuntu desktops and Servers with Landscape management.

Hands-on experience with ancillary security tools (e.g., MFA solutions, password managers).

Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and security tasks.

Experience implementing Windows and Linux security controls for compliance.

Experience with VMware and AWS.

Experience with GovCloud environments.

Passion for technology, with a focus on learning and keeping up with emerging trends.

Strong ability to implement solutions that enhance efficiency in IT and cybersecurity workflows.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across international teams.

Experience with Generative AI, or strong interest in integrating AI into cybersecurity operations (a huge plus).

Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-first approach to resolving issues.

Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (a plus).

Administration of print servers and network printing environments.

Familiarity with video conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.

Experience in server hardening and addressing security vulnerabilities.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Ability to move throughout the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.

Ability to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% of the time.

Ability to remain calm and professional in all circumstances, engaging positively with others to build trust and confidence.

Strong logical reasoning and decision-making skills; able to consider alternative perspectives and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Ability to interact professionally with a variety of individuals, including clients and customers.
