Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $115k - $135k annually. The final offer will be based on skills and experience relevant to the role.
Job Objective:
The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure infrastructure and systems across RelaDyne's IT environment. This is a hands-on technical role focused on system hardening, secure architecture, and advanced troubleshooting.
The Cybersecurity Engineer works closely with IT operations to ensure security controls are embedded in servers, networks, applications, and cloud environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, endpoint protection, SIEM integration, and vulnerability management tools.
- Engineer and maintain secure configurations for Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, O365, SQL, and Citrix platforms.
- Develop automation and orchestration scripts (PowerShell, Python, or equivalent) to improve detection, response, and remediation workflows.
- Configure and administer network and cloud security controls (firewalls, VPNs, zero-trust policies, conditional access).
- Perform vulnerability assessments and drive remediation efforts in coordination with IT and business units.
- Lead incident response activities requiring advanced system and network analysis.
- Partner with the Sr. System Administrator team to enforce secure system build standards and patch management.
- Research, test, and deploy new security technologies to strengthen the enterprise environment.
- Provide subject matter expertise for system and application security design reviews.
- Support security components of compliance efforts (PCI, SOC 2, NIST), focusing on technical implementation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity tools (e.g., firewalls, scanners, penetration testing, cloud-native security).
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Perl).
- Understanding of security frameworks, policies, and regulations (PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST, GDPR).
- Experience with compliance and audit processes and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools.
- Familiarity with adversary tactics (TTPs), threat detection, and incident response.
- Expertise in secure network, application, and system architecture design.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, and Office 365 environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to build cross-functional relationships.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong judgment and decision-making; experience mentoring others in security best practices.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure with at least 3 years focused on sec.
