How you'll contribute

A Help Desk Analyst who excels in this role:

  • Help desk analysts perform first-level diagnosis and troubleshooting support to end-users and customers. Working under minimal supervision, the help desk analysts receive calls and inquiries, provide support in accordance with established processes and document incidents and remedies. They also escalate complex incidents to second-level support personnel.

  • Answers the Support Services telephone and resolves problems for the end users. Assigns problems to appropriate personnel if problem cannot be resolved.

  • Documents all work in the predefined software package used by the Information Systems Department to track ongoing projects.

  • Provides necessary project information for daily work update.

  • Tracks and trends problems and notifies the appropriate MIS team member and Network Administrator.

  • Utilizes remote system access and tools to troubleshoot problems for end users.

  • Keeps end users informed of the status of projects. If the project is assigned to another individual, insures that the communication on the project status continues.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Additional requirements include:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

  • A + certification preferred.

  • Prefer experience with Meditech but experience with any healthcare systems vendor acceptable.
