The Operations Consultant will be responsible for the total operations of the rehabilitation program, working directly with the Area Director of Operations. The Operations Consultant will plan, direct and coordinate program activities to ensure that company and client goals are met. The Operations Consultant will demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, problem solving, accountable for carrying out all responsibilities and has the authority to extend offers of employment and to dismiss from employment, pending approval from the Area Director of Operations.

How you'll contribute

A Operations Consultantwho excels in this role:

  • Ensure for program staffing, team supervision and development, team
  • Promote adherence to policies and practices of applicable professional organizations, client hospital organization and Lifepoint.

  • Supervise the development of improved efficiency and productivity of unit clinical/administrative functions

  • Communicate and demonstrate a professional image/attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers and others.

  • Participate in continuing education/professional development activities.

  • Develop unit operating and capital budget for client hospital.

  • Develop unit operating and capital budget for Lifepoint (not in consultation with client hospital).

  • Develops and ensures implementation of a Marketing Program in collaboration with the host hospital.

  • Monitor referral/admission process.

  • Develop and implement program public relations plan.

  • Ability to open New Contracts (New Start-Ups and Takeovers)

  • Maintain positive working relationship with client hospital and customer service program on unit and in hospital.

  • Ensures the unit has a comprehensive Performance Improvement/ quality management program.

  • Assures that Quality management activities are data driven.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of corporate resources and use LPNT support services.

  • Participate in unit safety committee activities.

  • Assures facility staff and leaders are knowledgeable in ethics, compliance, quality, regulatory matters and expectations.

  • Creates an effective teamwork environment

  • Understands and works collaboratively with facility leaders

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in a health related or

business administration and/or have current Clinical Licensure (RN, L-PC, LCSW).

Additional requirements include:

  • Proven management experience in a healthcare or human services setting, or extensive rehabilitation background.

  • Experience working with a geriatric or disabled population highly desirable.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive change effectively and efficiently.

  • High level of flexibility and adaptability to different environments.

  • Must be willing and able to travel 90-100% of the time.
