What You Will Be Doing
  • Crafting and implementing a powerful event strategy that attracts high-net-worth families seeking top-tier educational outcomes to Alpha.
  • Developing adaptable playbooks for key eventssuch as TEDx-style student showcases and immersive info sessionsthat effectively demonstrate Alpha's unique model.
  • Handling vendor relations, including sourcing, contracting, payments, and performance management, across various campuses.
  • Directing 510 simultaneous events, spearheading on-site solutions and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Serving as Alpha's ambassador in prominent settings, from hosting events to engaging directly with families, with the authority to champion our mission.
What You Wont Be Doing
  • Following someone else's blueprint or awaiting detailed instructions.
  • Executing generic, uninspired events that could be hosted by any institution.
  • Delegating Alpha's message to external agencies or scripted presenters.
  • Shying away from challenging discussions about our rigorous, accelerated approach and its results.
Director Of Event Operations Key Responsibilities

Develop a scalable, impactful events strategy that converts the right families into advocates for Alpha by demonstrating the rigor, speed, and results of our model with clarity and conviction.

Basic Requirements
  • Over 3 years of comprehensive event management experience, handling budgets from $5K to $50K.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently assess and respond to the motivations and expectations of high-net-worth families.
  • Capability to compellingly present Alpha's model and value to discerning audiences, combining operational prowess with effective storytelling.
  • Exceptional stage presence and the ability to engage audiences both large and small.
  • Proficient in vendor negotiations and stakeholder management.
  • Based in the US and open to traveling up to 75%.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Nice-to-have Requirements
  • Experience in educational, nonprofit, or startup event management.
  • Proficiency in budget oversight, including cost management and procurement.
  • Experience in scaling event operations across diverse markets.

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
