The Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing hands-on care to assigned athletes within the organization by focusing on the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. This position is eligible to receive a sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of injuries, implement appropriate treatment protocols, and refer athletes to physicians when necessary.
- Support athletes in achieving improved functional independence while minimizing limitations and reducing the risk of re-injury.
- Provide on-site emergency care as necessary, within the scope of athletic training practices.
- Educate athletes and coaches on best practices for conditioning, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.
- Communicate with athletes, coaches, and physicians regarding treatment plans to ensure safe return-to-play decisions.
- Maintain accurate medical records by documenting assessments, treatment plans, and patient progress.
- Maintain your treatment stations, supplies, and equipment.
Qualifications
- CAATE-accredited Bachelor's degree required.
- Active ATC and LAT licensure required.
- Active BLS certification required.
- Active CWIS, PATCH, and FBI clearances required.
- Prior work experience as an Athletic Trainer not required.
