As a Scheduler, you will work at the front desk for a program that serves adults with mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders, children with serious emotional disturbance, and members of the armed services/veterans. You must possess a level of acceptance and a level of respect for people with mental illness, an understanding of front desk security, good written and verbal skills, and a working knowledge of crisis intervention and prevention.
Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Scheduler is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Infrequently, the employee may be required to perform a crisis management control technique in an emergency situation. Driving a vehicle to program locations; Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Schedule: Mondays 11am-8pm, Tuesday-Friday 830am-5pm; with a 30 minute unpaid lunch
