A well-respected Skilled Nursing Facility in the heart of New York City is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Maintenance to lead our facility's Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all maintenance operations and personnel across the facility
Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and optimal equipment performance
Assign duties and schedules to maintenance staff, ensuring timely and efficient task completion
Coordinate all routine maintenance and repairs, both in-house and contracted services
Maintain detailed records of repairs, preventative maintenance, inspections, and warranties
Monitor departmental budget and expenditures, ensuring cost-effective operations
Ensure full compliance with State, Federal, and OSHA regulations
Remain available to respond to emergency maintenance needs
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance
Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare or long-term care environment required
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Rate: $100,000-$110,000 plus benefits!
