Security Officer Position
This armed position is under the direct supervision of the Manager for assigned high profile site and performs a variety of security-related duties. In this position, you will observe and report activities and incidents at assigned locations, providing for the security and safety of client property, visitors, and personnel. As an armed officer, you may respond to unusual or emergency situations using appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response as dictated by the situation and protocol. Additionally, you will assist in preserving order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises; control access to client site and facility through the admittance process; responsive in all situations; monitors entrances and exits and acts to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry. Some assignments may patrol assigned site on foot or in vehicle, checks for unsafe conditions such as hazards, unlocked doors, and security violations; protects evidence or scenes of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; prepares logs or reports as requested. May be exposed to stressful situations.

Duties Include:
- Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
- Responds to unusual or emergency situations.
- Provides a courteous, respectful, and pleasant interaction.
- Monitors entrances and exits.
- Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle.
- Protects evidence or scene of incident.
- Prepares logs or reports.
- Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity.
- Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
- Carries out specific tasks and duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship Preferred
- Be at least 21 years of age.
Education | Experience:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Have a minimum of two (2) years of Armed Security / Law Enforcement experience OR two (2) years of honorable service with the US Armed Forces.
Background Prerequisites:
- Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, may need to meet Physical examination requirements per assignment and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements.
Competencies:
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet certification requirements for Basic Life Support CPR/AED and First Aid.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures.

Starting Wage Range:
for this position is $17.75 (starting Trainee wage) in all states except California. In California, the starting Wage rate for this position is $26.00 (starting Trainee wage). Post assignment wage ranges dependent on state and location.
In addition to the hourly wage, positions may have a Health and Welfare benefit range from $4.23 - $6.00 per hour.
- Additional compensation of $1.00 - $4.00 may be available at sites requiring a Secret or Top-Secret clearance.
- Some site assignments may include a shift differential of an additional $0.25 - $1.50 per hour.
