Job Title: System Administrator

Location: NORTH CAROLINA
Term: 12 Months
Note: This is an onsite position. Overview: - The Systems Analyst is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including multi-user computers such as servers.
- This role ensures that uptime, performance, resources, and security of IT systems meet the needs of end-users.
- The Systems Analyst also supports projects by providing technical expertise, maintaining security policies, and offering training and troubleshooting assistance.
Key Responsibilities: - Maintain, configure, and ensure the reliable operation of computer systems and servers.
- Monitor system performance and resource utilization to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
- Implement, maintain, and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
- Acquire, install, and upgrade computer components and software as needed.
- Perform routine automation and system monitoring tasks to streamline operations.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to resolve problems quickly.
- Provide technical support and training to staff across various departments.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to support business needs and technology projects.
- Prepare and maintain system documentation, including configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and security.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Systems Analyst, Systems Administrator, or in a related IT role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, servers, operating systems, and network environments.
- Hands-on experience with system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with IT security best practices, backup/recovery methods, and system monitoring tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to train and support end-users.
Preferred Skills: - Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with ITIL practices or relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Red Hat, etc.).
