Job Description

Responsible for leading and directing supply chain materials management operations at multiple facilities within the system. Provides operational direction and oversight for warehousing and distribution as well as any other specific activities assigned by Director. Communicates back order recommendations and financial support to Senior Management and Nurse Managers. Responsible for disaster preparedness for multiple sites and provides leadership guidance regarding supply availability and distribution. Works with Physicians in conjunction of maintaining code carts. Independently manages reprocessing initiative throughout the system including high level vendor discussions, collaborating with clinical management teams on new product implementation, and monthly reporting to site Presidents. Provide guidance to other locations as needed. Implements procedures and revises procedures as necessary. Assist with corporate projects as assigned on an as needed basis.Position requires the ability to be able to work any shift when necessary and must be available after hours.

Education And Credentials

Associate degree in Business, Supply-Chain or similar required. See experience section if no degree. Bachelors degree in Business, Supply-Chain or similar preferred. See experience if no degree.

Experience

5 years related experience in the field of Supply-Chain including two years of Supervisory experience required. 8 years of Material management if incumbent does not have an Associates Degree required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to assess situations and derive solutions through communications and then take action. Must be able to prioritize tasks and objectives. Position requires the ability to be able to work any shift when necessary. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include advanced functions. Knowledge of internet and intranet functions required. Working knowledge of department specific software required. Must be accessible after hours. Knowledge of Lawson or MMIS system preferred. Materials Management Program preferred.
