Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Unit. The RN will provide direct patient care, administer medications, and support children and adolescents experiencing psychiatric or behavioral health challenges. The role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to child and adolescent patients in a psychiatric/behavioral health setting.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for therapeutic effects and side effects.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and coping strategies.
• Respond appropriately to psychiatric emergencies, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or a related setting.
• Current BLS certification (required); CPI or equivalent crisis management training preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and families.
• Must have 2+ years of Child Adolescent Psychiatric

- Must have 2+ years of Child Adolescent Psychiatric- Only travelers above 50 miles will be eligible for Stipend
