Job Summary We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Assistant Admission's Director at our Skilled Nursing Facility in the Binghamton Area. This person will be responsible for coordinating all work related to patient admissions in a fast paced team oriented environment. Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)
- Answers all inquiries regarding admissions and maintains records of all referrals to the facility
- Reviews referrals from area hospitals, and other extended care facilities
- Reviews the applicant's personal history and financial information prior to admission
- Verifies information on the Admission Application Form (Hospital Face Sheet) such as Medicaid eligibility, Medicare benefits, other insurance.
- Assisting with facility bed management
- Provides Facility Tours as needed to potential residents and families.
Performance Knowledge, Skills and Characteristics (includes but is not limited to)
- Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines and documentation requirements
- Ability to organize work effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Requirements
- Associates Degree with two or more years experience preferred
- Nursing home admissions experience preferable
