Primary responsibility of the Laborer is to take up manual labor tasks and support operations on worksites. One of the most important Laborer duties is to collect trash, debris and other waste to keep the site clean and safe. Laborers also handle power tools and materials (such as saws and drills). The ideal EMI Laborer has stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads while staying on task and committed to safety.Salary$26.16/hr. plus $27.99 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!See ALL the fantastic benefits you receive as an employee of EMI below!!Key Responsibilities* Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material* Assist Carpenters, Painters, Electricians, Fire System Mechanics HVAC Technicians or other tradespeople on-site* Use power tools and machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed* Handle and transport materials (e.g. ground materials, grass, fill dirt,) ) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders)* Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. digging, stacking up goods)* Put up warning signs (e.g. signposts, cones) for vehicles and passersby* Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding)* Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditionsEssential Skills* Knowledge of basic hand tools.* Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus* Good hand-eye coordination* Communication and teamwork skills* Commitment to safety
