Job Description
We are seeking an experienced RN – Wound Care to provide expert care and assessment for patients with wounds, ostomies, and continence-related conditions.Responsibilities include:
- Conducting focused health assessments and developing individualized care plans.
- Performing wound, ostomy, and continence evaluations and recommending appropriate treatments.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team and making referrals as needed.
- Educating patients and families on prevention of complications and self-care techniques.
- Participating in staff education programs and hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with patient privacy standards.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience; Wound and Colostomy experience required.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) required.
- License: Active New York RN license.
- Certifications: AHA BLS and one of the following:
- CWOCN, CWON, CWCN (WOCNCB)
- CWS (ABWM)
- WCC (NAWCO)
