Job Summary:

A facility in Saratoga, NY is seeking an experienced Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to serve as an Emergency Department Crisis Evaluator. This role is a critical part of the care team, responsible for conducting crisis evaluations for psychiatric patients, collaborating with the ED staff, and facilitating safe patient disposition. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate professional with a strong understanding of psychiatric care and a proven ability to handle emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
  • Must be familiar with the care of psychiatric patients.
  • Proven ability to conduct crisis evaluations.
  • Experience with voluntary and involuntary admission procedures is needed.
• Licensure & Certifications:
  • LMSW licensure is required.
  • BLS certification is needed.
• Skills:
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with the ED care team and psychiatric providers.
  • The ability to respond to and manage crisis situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability to float to the inpatient Mental Health Unit (MHU) as needed.

Additional Information

• Shift: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Weekend/Holiday: Required every other weekend and holiday.
• Call-Off Policy: The facility can cancel up to 5 shifts per contract.
• Location: Candidates residing in the following NY counties are not eligible for this contract: Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, and Albany.
• Start Date: ASAP start.
