Job Details- Clinical Nurse role providing safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others.
- Delivers patient care incorporating Relationship Centered Care and nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and organizational nursing standards.
- Assesses and evaluates patient care needs applying critical thinking skills.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare team in plan of care development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Prioritizes patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning after hospital care, and delegation.
- Educates patients and caregivers about plan of care, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, family, and healthcare team.
- Manages assignments within Modified Primary Nursing care delivery model and allocates material resources effectively.
- Role models Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care through various patient care actions such as Admission Welcome, Bedside shift Report, Purposeful Hourly Rounding, Medication Review, Discharge Wrap Up, and MD/RN Unit Collaboration.
- Considers patient values, preferences, cultural diversity, expressed needs, and knowledge in care.
- Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
- Uses evidence-based practices to understand patients' perceptions of care.

Job Requirements- NYS Registered Nurse License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Unit experience required.
- Minimum 2 years RN experience required.
- 1 year travel experience required for Travel positions; not required for Per Diem positions.
- EPIC experience highly preferred.
Schedule Information- 3x12 hour shifts schedule.
- Weekends required.
