Program Description:Backcountry Wellness (BCW) is an eating disorder treatment program founded with the mission of bridging comprehensive recovery with the demands of real life. Our treatment philosophy embraces compassion and understanding, safety and nurturing, and a focus on family involvement to equip our patients with the tools to make lasting changes within their lives. Backcountry Wellness provides immersive programming for children and adolescents who live with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating, Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake, Orthorexia, and Other Specific Feeding and Eating Disorders (OSFED).

Job Summary:

The Growth & Operations Coordinator plays a key role in helping launch, improve, and scale programs across the organization. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that supports the CEO and leadership team in executing new site openings, navigating regulatory requirements, optimizing internal workflows, and coordinating cross-functional operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, is eager to learn, and enjoys wearing many hats. This role is perfect for someone who's organized, tech-savvy, and excited to be part of a growing behavioral health platform.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Research and interpret state-specific licensing, zoning, and regulatory requirements for new site development
  • Manage preparation and submission of required applications (licensing, zoning, registration, compliance)
  • Serve as liaison with regulatory bodies and accrediting organizations (e.g., DOH, JCAHO) during expansion and ongoing operations
  • Partner with the CEO to assess, prioritize, and execute new market and program opportunities
  • Own and coordinate new program launches, including timelines, checklists, and cross-functional collaboration (clinical, legal, finance, ops)
  • Assist with ramp-up and continuous improvement of existing programs across the platform
  • Coordinate physical site setup and inspection readiness, including lease diligence and facility compliance
  • Design, implement, and refine operational workflows to support scalable growth, clinical delivery, and administrative efficiency
  • Identify and implement technology solutions to enhance operations, including evaluating and optimizing platforms
  • Develop, update, and enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices
  • Facilitate coordination across departments and program sites to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery
  • Analyze budgets, monitor expenses, and recommend adjustments to improve efficiency and profitability
  • Identify and address operational bottlenecks to enhance service delivery and financial performance
  • Oversee vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and performance oversight
  • Support emergency preparedness and operational continuity planning
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to foster a mission-aligned, high-performing organizational culture
  • Contribute to long-term strategic planning aligned with organizational growth and values
  • Lead and support special projects and initiatives as assigned by CEO or executive leadership
  • Execute other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, Psychology, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, operations, or program coordination (internships and fellowships count)
  • Familiarity with project coordination and managing timelines, checklists, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Interest in healthcare compliance topics such as HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and state licensing
  • Comfortable using tech tools like EHRs, Google Workspace, project management platforms, or CRM systems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work well with clinical teams, vendors, and leadership
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through independently
  • Enthusiastic about working in a mission-driven, fast-paced behavioral health environment

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
