We invite you to become part of Connecticut's most comprehensive healthcare network. The Leave Navigator is responsible for guiding and supporting colleagues through the leave of absence process. This role serves as the primary point of contact for colleagues, managers, and HR, ensuring a smooth and compliant leave experience. The Leave Navigator provides personalized support, coordinates communication, and ensures adherence to organizational policies and applicable leave regulations. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to the following: Colleague Support and Coordination:** • Serve as the primary contact and advocate for colleagues throughout their leave of absence. • Educate colleagues on leave policies, eligibility, and their responsibilities. • Provide clear, compassionate, and timely communication regarding leave expectations, status updates, and next steps. Leave Coordination and Administration:** • Coordinate and manage leave cases from initiation to return. • Liaise with third-party administrators, HR, Colleague Health and Workers' Compensation teams, and managers to ensure accurate and timely case management. • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in leave management systems. • Monitor leave durations and follow-up to confirm return-to-work readiness. • Identify and escalate complex or high-risk cases appropriately. • Ensure compliance with federal and state leave laws and company policies. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leave cases, communications, and supporting documentation. Collaboration and Communication:** • Collaborate with HR, Colleague Health, Workers' Compensation teams, and managers to align leave management practices with organizational policies. • Provide managers with regular updates on colleagues' leave status and expected return dates. • Partner with other Navigators to support seamless transitions back to work. Education • Bachelor's degree, advanced training, or equivalent related work experience. Experience • Four years of related experience. • Familiarity with leave management systems and HRIS platforms. • Strong knowledge of leave-related laws and regulations and workplace accommodations. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support and empathize with colleagues.
