Breaking Ground operates nearly 4,000 units of housing across New York City, along with housing in upstate New York and Connecticut. Supportive housing - affordable housing paired with services designed to help people maintain their homes for the long-term - is widely recognized as a proven and cost-effective solution to chronic homelessness.

But we didn't stop at providing housing. Breaking Ground's programs and services help people experiencing street homelessness - especially those who have been on the streets the longest - to come indoors. Through our Street to Home outreach program and transitional housing resources, we help people get, and stay, on the path to a permanent home.

Data Coordinator

Reporting to the Director, Data Analytics, the Data Coordinator is a key asset in helping the Data Strategy team successfully maintain data integrity across all data systems. This position will support data management and data clean up through collaboration with other departments to ensure consistent data entry and usage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Run scheduled reports and data audits

  • Maintain data integrity across data systems using a variety of data audit scripts [EC2]

  • Identify duplication of records and data

  • Work with departments to ensure data accuracy and contract compliance

  • Assist with data collection, input, and maintenance

  • Make recommendations for improvements based on user feedback

  • Create and maintain documentation and methodology

  • Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Two years of relevant experience working with input and editing information in databases

  • Strong analytic and interpersonal skills

  • Well organized and detail oriented

  • Strong communication skills (oral/written)

  • Must be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel functions: index matches, Lookup functions. pivot tables. Expected to gain proficiency in government and other databases, Real Page, and other software programs/services used by the organization
