Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Behavioral Health Division. This role offers flexibility with remote and hybrid scheduling options. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patients' mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop treatment plans in accordance with clinical guidelines and state regulations.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, counselors, and other clinical team members to ensure integrated care.
• Provide psychiatric health services including education, counseling, and emotional support to patients and families.
• Prescribe and manage medications in alignment with treatment protocols.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and communicate results clearly to patients.
• Educate patients about treatment options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
• Refer patients for inpatient care when clinically indicated, in coordination with the staff psychiatrist.
• Maintain regular communication and follow-up with patients to ensure continuity of care.
• May provide primary medical care services when appropriate and within scope of practice.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis from an accredited institution.
• Active New York State license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in psychiatric care.
• Ability to work 25+ hours per week.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and patient care skills.
