About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join our Investment Banking Restructuring team in New York. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact financial advisory assignments, including corporate restructurings, distressed M&A, and special situations. Key Responsibilities
- Support execution of restructuring and distressed M&A transactions across various industries.
- Prepare detailed financial analyses including valuations (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions).
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess strategic alternatives.
- Assist in the preparation of client presentations, pitch books, and marketing materials.
- Conduct industry, company, and capital markets research to support transaction strategy.
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
- Collaborate with senior bankers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of investment banking experience required; ideally in restructuring or M&A.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and capital markets.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Experience with credit analysis and distressed situations is a plus.
