Head of IT, IT Infrastructure Manager, IT Security Manager, IT Networks Manager, Cyber Security, Security Controls, Server Management, Network Security, Cisco, Active Directory, Group Policies, Microsoft 365, Intune, Financial Services, - route to CTO Hybrid Role: 3 days a week in the New York office My client, a reputable Financial Services organisation, is looking to hire a Head of IT with detailed Networks, Infrastructure and Cyber Security skills to join the business. This position will provide the perfect platform towards becoming a CTO within the organisation and will provide you the opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial, project driven environment as the firm embarks on a large-scale tech modernisation programme. Responsibilities: Working with an external service provider, you will have responsibility for the design, implementation and management of secure, reliable and scalable infrastructure. You will ensure best in class performance across on-prem and cloud environments. You will also be responsible for both line managing employees and acting as the main point of contact for your senior stakeholders. This role requires in-depth knowledge of IT Infrastructure, Networks and IT/Cyber Security (with the ability to be hands-on where necessary). You will work with cross-divisional teams (Product, Development, Compliance) to set up and deploy apps and infrastructure, ensure that relevant Security policies and procedures are in place, monitor system performance and ensure that Security best practices are implemented across the business. Desired Skills: • Strong leadership and influencing skills in the realm of IT Infrastructure, Networks and IT Security, ideally gained in the Financial Services sector • Previous background working closely with external service providers on projects relating to servers, firewalls, networks (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto etc) • Detailed understanding of IT/Cyber Security policies, procedures and best practice - experience working in a FINRA regulated business highly desirable • Hands-on Infrastructure knowledge in relation to Microsoft (M365, Exchange Online, Email Security etc), Linux, Active Directory, Group Policies, M365 and Intune • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols • Proven experience of working with Compliance teams to ensure Cyber Security best practice • Experience of managing/mentoring a small team • Exceptional stakeholder management experience and proven ability to do more with less, working in and extremely dynamic, constantly evolving Financial Services environment
