Clinical Nurse Job Description Summary

Job Description
- Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documents treatments as required by company policy and regulations.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patients conditions.
- Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care.
- Uses sound nursing judgment in care management decisions.
- Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administers OTC and prescription medications as ordered.
- Collaborates with the nursing team to develop a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Directs and guides ancillary personnel, maintaining professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of a professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree.
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and problem-solving tools, with the ability to apply them to support departmental and patient care quality improvement.
