Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
As an Assembler, you will operate small equipment such as presses, magnetizing/demagnetizing equipment, and scanners. You will be responsible for assembling small and medium-sized parts, fitting and adjusting these parts accurately. You will use indicators, calipers, and gauges for precise measurements, and perform repair and rework of sub-assemblies and major assemblies as needed. Additionally, you will read and interpret blueprints to ensure correct assembly.
Responsibilities

Essential Skills
Proficiency in assembly and small parts assembly.
Experience with mechanical assembly and schematic reading.
Ability to use hand or power tools.
Familiarity with micrometers and calipers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to read blueprints.
Competency in small piece assembly.
Basic math skills.
Ability to read a ruler.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of a climate-controlled production setting where you will primarily work alone. The position involves assembling with strong magnetics, requiring the ability to pull them apart. You'll also work with glues in an enclosed area with proper ventilation, though some scent may be present. The parts are delicate, and care must be taken to avoid damage. The role is available on both the 1st shift (5:30 AM-3:00 PM, Monday-Thursday and 5:30-9:30 AM on Fridays) and 2nd shift (3:00 PM-12:15 AM, Monday-Thursday and 3:00-7:00 PM on Fridays with a 10% shift differential).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
