Salary: $43,738.00 - $76,542.00 Annually Location : Wake County, NC Job Type: Permanent Full-Time Job Number: 25-10518 DSOHF 60043355 Department: Dept of Health and Human Services Division: State Operated Health Care Facilities Opening Date: 09/15/2025 Closing Date: 9/25/2025 5:00 PM Eastern Job Class Title: Executive Assistant I Position Number: 60043355 Salary Grade: NC11 Description of Work *The Recruitment Range For This Position Is $43,738 - $65,000* The primary purpose of the Executive Assistant position is to provide administrative support to the Division State Operated Health Care Facilities (DSOHF) Director, DSOHF Deputy Director and the DSOHF Executive Leadership Team (ELT) by performing a variety of administrative functions. This position also supervises the administrative support team which includes the staff development program assistant and the web master. The Executive Assistant is responsible for administrative functions including but not limited to the following:
  • Organizes, implements and/or supervises the administrative support for the central office.
  • Gathers, edits and reports information for various projects that require discretionary and evaluative judgments under the direction of the Division Director or the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Manages and coordinates schedules, meetings, and conferences for the Deputy Secretary, Division Director, Deputy Director and some members of the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Responds to and directs high level inquiries that come into the Division Director from various public officials.
  • Assists with HR activities such as drafting requests to post, preparation for interviews, and routes HR action forms.
  • Develops meeting agendas and transcribes meeting minutes
  • Works on special projects related to DSOHF operations, Executive Leadership Team and department initiatives.
