Job Description :

We are currently looking for a Full Time Okcha! Barista to join our Okcha! Team team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center working 2:30PM-11:00PM - Tu We Th Fr Sa. Summary: Prepares and serves a variety of coffee beverages, maintains a clean and organized workspace, and ensures a positive experience for every customer. Responsibilities: * Takes orders, provides recommendations, and answers questions about menu items* Prepares and serves coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences while ensuring the highest quality* Handles customer complaints and resolves issues promptly and courteously* Conducts courteous and professional delivery of food service to guests and employees* Operates coffee brewing equipment, grinders, and other machinery safely and effectively* Accurately processes transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system* Balances till at the end of shift, documents and reports any variances to leadership* Disposes of all spoiled food according to the established procedures* Cleans and sanitizes work area, preparation tables, utensils, and trays after each use according to the established cleaning and sanitizing procedures* Works collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient service and a positive work environment* Ensures inventory and supplies are stocked and informs of any procurement or equipment needs* Participates in meetings to ensure effective communication with staff, peers, supervisors and management* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner- Greets and engages with a smile- Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types- Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment- Maintains and promotes professionalism- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards* Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.* Performs all other duties as assigned Competencies: Essential:* Able to follow instructions, both written and oral * Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements* Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability* Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines* Understand, utilize and apply cash handling knowledge* Must understand the principles of food preparation, cleaning, and safety* Ability to multitask* Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management Skills: Essential:* Basic Computer skills Experience: Nonessential:* 2 years directly related experience Education: Essential:* High School, GED or Equivalent Credentials: Essential:* Pass general background check* ServSafe Certification Working Conditions: Essential:* Fast-paced* Food service* Must be flexible with work schedule* May work evenings, weekends or holidays* Subject to kitchen hazards such as burns, knives, slippery floors etc.* Potential exposure to biohazards* Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach* Visual acuity for detail, distance, color, depth perception* Listening and hearing ability* Standing up to 100% of shift* Sometimes lift and or carry up to 40 lbs* Pass pre-employment drug test* May be required to assist individuals with unmanaged emotions
