As a Customs and Border Protection Officer, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our nation's borders, protecting American interests, and enhancing economic prosperity.The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in high-pressure situations, and demonstrate a strong commitment to serving the public.Job Description: Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.Facilitate the flow of legitimate trade and travel.Conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances.Determine the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.Prevent the illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods and the smuggling of illegal drugs and other contraband.Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods.Experience enforcing laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping.Utilize intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats.Conduct interviews in a law enforcement capacity.Benefits: You will receive a competitive annual base salary, ranging from $61,111 to $124,443 per year, with opportunities for overtime pay.
