Position Summary:
Uses a thorough understanding of design foundations, destination brand guidelines and organizational objectives to produce, steward and support visual and creative executions across Explore Asheville. Duties include graphic design; brand compliance review; upkeep of branded business collateral; organization, maintenance and delivery of creative files and assets; as well as trafficking of billing and invoicing related to creative projects for Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
ork with Explore Asheville team members and the Director of Marketing to process and activate creative service projects delivering on-brand design executions that meet business and organizational objectives.
Design project examples may include destination and/or community focused advertisements, event branding and marketing, business collateral, presentation materials and digital decks, infographics, direct mail materials, signage, animated and static social posts, social templates and collections, logos, maps, event signage, digital and e-mail marketing templates, as well as layouts for printed brochures, reports and sales/PR materials.
Coordinate with local vendors, printers, tourism partners and creative collaborators to ensure on-time, on-budget and color-accurate deliverables that meet technical standards and align with the project vision.
Work with team and external partners to ensure delivery and brand compliant execution of Explore Asheville/BCTDA creative assets across sponsored activations and events.
Provide graphic support for various presentations, including BCTDA meetings, as needed by the organization. Refresh and organize templates and supporting assets for ease of team use.
Monitor and help maintain integrity of Explore Asheville brand upheld by the official brand guidelines. Contribute with marketing teammates to guard the living brand through strategic, thoughtful, approved and documented design choices as the brand is interpreted across leisure, business and community facing environments.
Provide brand training and an introduction to brand and creative approval processes for new employees to ensure proper activation across the organization.
Administrative Support
Participate in department and all team meetings, planning meetings (i.e., strategic/department/program/work/objectives), and organizational initiatives to support efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation. Elevate/solve issues, support solutions, and support the maintenance of ongoing processes.
