About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for K-12 Math to lead and manage math initiatives within its education center. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a vertical math content team, co-developing and implementing a business development strategy, and cultivating relationships with partner school systems and relevant stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of K-12 math content, a background in progressive teaching and learning, and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with various levels of an organization. The Executive Director will also be involved in designing and managing complex projects, ensuring that math projects are adequately staffed and resourced, and contributing to the national conversation about mathematics through presentations, writing, and other forms of engagement. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a Master's degree in education or a related field, at least 5 years of management experience, and a minimum of 3 years in a public school district math leadership role or equivalent experience. The role demands strong communication, analytical thinking, project management, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale adult learning experiences, be comfortable with Google Suite tools and Slack, and have a strong commitment to an intersectional, anti-racist lens and a strengths-based approach to racial equity and identity work.
