Primary Care PositionJob Description
This is a 13-week contract position for a Primary Care role that requires a dedicated and skilled professional. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. Candidates should be open to floating between various Primary Care locations, including Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Pediatrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct vital signs assessments, including blood pressure, respiration, temperature, pulse, and blood glucose monitoring.
- Perform various clinical tasks, such as dressing changes, nebulizer treatments, and suture removal.
- Handle patient inquiries, medication refill requests, and follow-up phone calls.
- Assist in laboratory result interpretation and medication reconciliation.
- Administer immunizations and conduct screenings (hearing, vision, and health questionnaires).
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to universal precautions.
- Prepare and set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of Primary Care experience is required, with charge nurse experience preferred.
- Valid BLS certification is required.
- Experience with Epic charting system is a must.
- Facility and patient care experience in a community hospital setting is beneficial.
Skills
- Proficient in 12 Lead ECG procedures.
- Knowledgeable in urine analysis (UA/Clean Catch) and various laboratory specimen handling.
- Capable of performing intradermal, intramuscular, intravenous, and subcutaneous injections.
- Able to conduct telephone triage and manage pharmacy-related patient communications.
