Position Summary:

Scenic Automotive Group is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Maintenance Attendant / Groundskeeper to support the daily operations and professional appearance of our dealership lot and facilities. This position plays a key role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for customers and employees, while also providing handyman services to ensure the property remains in top condition.

Key Responsibilities:Car Lot Duties:

• Maintain a clean and orderly lot by blowing, power washing, and removing debris from customer and vehicle areas.

• Reposition or stage vehicles as directed to ensure an organized and appealing display.

• Ensure drive lanes, walkways, and display rows are free of hazards and oil spots.

• Check vehicles for expired stickers or misplaced signage and report discrepancies.

• Keep lot signage, banners, flags, cones, and barricades clean, maintained, and properly placed.

• Assist with snow and ice removal from display areas and customer paths during winter months.

Grounds & Exterior Maintenance:

• Maintain cleanliness of exterior entryways, sidewalks, curbs, and parking areas.

• Remove trash and litter from dealership grounds, including fencing and landscaped areas.

• Perform seasonal duties such as leaf blowing, salting sidewalks, and clearing drainage areas.

• Check and replace exterior lighting bulbs; report outages or damage to supervisor.

• Assist with setup and cleanup for outdoor dealership events or promotions.

Handyman & Facility Maintenance Duties:

• Perform basic repairs including patching holes, minimal painting, tightening fixtures, and replacing ceiling tiles.

• Minor plumbing tasks such as unclogging drains, replacing faucet washers, or adjusting toilets.

• Repair or install signage, furniture, display racks, or dealership fixtures.

• Conduct light maintenance on doors, locks, handles, and safety equipment.

• Maintain tools and equipment used in daily tasks and report larger repair needs.

• Support janitorial efforts as needed, especially in high-traffic or shared areas.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• 1+ year of experience in general maintenance, lot attendant duties, or handyman services.

• Comfortable operating basic hand tools, power tools, and small maintenance equipment.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., walk and stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in all seasons.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required for moving vehicles).

• Ability to work independently and follow direction with minimal supervision.

• Strong sense of pride in work, reliability, and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience working in a dealership or auto retail environment.

• Knowledge of basic automotive lot layout and customer traffic flow.

• Familiarity with safety procedures and OSHA compliance standards.

Working Conditions:

• Outdoor environment; regular exposure to varying weather conditions.

• Physical tasks including bending, lifting, standing, and tool use.

• May involve occasional weekend or evening work for special dealership events or urgent repairs.

• PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) provided and required as necessary.
