Overview

Role

Technical Program Manager: shape the next generation delivery technology work process and customer/driver experience, directly manage large cross-functional programs that support Safety and Delivery Assistance Technologies. You will drive large cross-team projects that span multiple technology and operational teams. You will need to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, manage ambiguity, develop high-level strategic initiatives, and also roll up your sleeves to get the job done. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make trade-offs, balance business needs with technical constraints, break large projects into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, and deliver them in a timely manner. Maturity, judgment, negotiation skills, influence, analytical ability and leadership are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large cross-functional programs across multiple teams and disciplines (engineering, product, operations).
  • Define and manage project scope, schedule, release plans, and proof of concept milestones.
  • Identify bottlenecks and escalate issues as needed; balance business goals with technical constraints.
  • Break down complex projects into actionable work streams and deliverables; develop specifications and drive delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align priorities and communicate progress to leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5 years of working directly with engineering teams
  • 3 years of software development experience
  • 5 years of technical program management experience with software engineering teams
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical design skills
  • Ability to drive tough decision making, balancing business goals, technical implications and time to market
  • Ability to work independently and strong problem-solving skills
  • Proven results-oriented with a focus on delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and critical path management
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and sustainable processes, coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Pay and Benefits

  • The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
