Responsibilities

The Company is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to take on the dual role of CEO and Editor-in-Chief. This is a pivotal moment for the organization, as the successful candidate will be tasked with harnessing its legacy and leading its evolution into a dynamic platform for the next generation of feminist thought, creativity, and community building.

• Set a clear and creative vision for the organization and oversee editorial direction across various platforms.
• Expand the organization's reach and visibility.
• Serve as the chief fundraiser, cultivating relationships with donors and foundations.
• Lead a talented team to ensure the organization's mission is advanced with excellence and integrity.
• Functions include: CEO / President; Editorial; Operations; Strategy.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be deeply inspired by the feminist and mission-driven focus of the organization, with a strong background in fundraising, editorial or literary acumen, and a strategic, outward-facing approach.

• Compelling communicator, thought leader, and champion of cultural and communal currents shaping the relevant fields.
• Strategic operator comfortable with both big-picture thinking and the day-to-day operations of a small nonprofit.
• Intergenerational connector and mentor, attuned to media habits of younger generations and excited to foster connections across diverse communities.
• While no candidate is expected to have every qualification, a combination of these experiences and qualities will make for a strong fit.
