Base pay range

$220,000.00/yr - $450,000.00/yr

New Business Development Director

Salary: c$225,000–$450,000 OTE uncapped commissions + EQUITY

Location: United States | Hybrid | New York City

Employer: Signatus (retained exclusively by our client based in Ireland) who are rapidly scaling and growing their service offering across core markets in the UK, US and Ireland. This company is the number 1 ALSP in Ireland and is expanding into the US market. We are recruiting an experienced, new business development director to be based within a New York City office.

If you've sold managed legal services and/or DSAR/e-discovery or legal contracting solutions into law firms, state or semi-state bodies, corporates, technology companies or professional/financial services sectors, this could be a seriously lucrative next step in your growth journey.

What You'll Be Doing as a New Business Development Director

Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will leverage your knowledge of ALSP services including legal tech sales and secondee models together with any established client relationships you can bring, to position our client as the go-to partner for scalable legal solutions.

  • Driving $2-3M+ of new business per year through outbound BD and pipeline management
  • Develop and execute outbound sales strategies targeting senior legal executives and D-Ms
  • Selling high-value legal process solutions into major organisations
  • Leading long, complex sales cycles with senior legal stakeholders
  • Owning deals end-to-end – prospect to close
  • Building and managing key relationships with c-suite executives, senior partners, general counsels and other stakeholders

What You'll Need

  • Must have 10+ years of legal contract solutions, MLS, Legal Tech or professional services sales experience
  • Proven track record of closing large, complex deals regularly (c$2Million annually ideally)
  • A strong network and credibility with GCs, legal ops, and procurement teams in your core market
  • Essential - Experience selling legal tech, ALSP, DSAR, Managed Contracting solutions or e-discovery solutions - No other experience (such as SaaS sellers) will be considered at this stage unfortunately.
