Overview
Lead Consultant role at Citrix. The Citrix Consulting (CCS) team focuses on new and advanced capabilities of our products and use cases to help expand a customer's journey with Cloud Software Group. As part of this team, you'll collaborate with other Citrix go-to-market teams to execute on a shared vision with our customers and help them achieve their strategic goals. Our team operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that prioritizes adaptability, knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and the delivery of high-quality outcomes. Our core mission is to empower customers in achieving their strategic objectives and overcoming obstacles when implementing Citrix technologies. To do this, we need to understand our solutions deeply and continuously master leading practices for real-world deployments.
Responsibilities
- As a Lead Consultant at Citrix, drive successful adoption and expansion of our solutions for a diverse range of customers, including Fortune 100 and 500 companies.
- Operate with significant autonomy, applying deep technical expertise to design and implement solutions within complex enterprise IT environments.
- Collaborate with go-to-market and product teams (including Account Technology Strategists, Solutions Architects, Product Managers, and Engineers) to understand customer needs, provide expert product guidance, and align technical challenges with Citrix capabilities.
- Assess, design, and deploy technical solutions with minimal oversight, ensuring high quality and adherence to industry-leading practices.
- Hands-on experience with core Citrix technologies (Virtual Apps and Desktops, DaaS, NetScaler Gateway) in enterprise IT deployments with cloud and automation components; proactively learn emerging technologies in a lab environment.
- Lead multiple engagements and initiatives; contribute to mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Identify opportunities to support mentorship, training, industry events, and Citrix Community to shape leading practices and promote new solutions.
- Travel up to 10% if required.
Required Experience / Skills
- Minimum of 7 years in a customer-facing technical role (engineering, professional services, technical support) in a high-tech or enterprise IT setting, with responsibility for leading and delivering complex technical solutions.
- Excellent customer service demeanor and ability to engage with stakeholders across roles and levels of an IT organization.
- Specialized knowledge of Citrix products and/or complementary or competing technologies.
- Knowledge of End-User Computing (EUC) engineering and architecture, including virtual desktop and application delivery, advanced endpoint protection, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions.
- Hands-on scripting experience and usage of APIs to streamline deployment, configuration, and management of Citrix and/or cloud resources.
- Proven ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues in large-scale IT environments using advanced troubleshooting and data-driven methods.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills; strong public speaking in client, internal, and industry settings.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Packer, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Experience with enterprise IT operations and best practices.
- Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud certifications are strongly preferred.
- Ability to engage with different levels of audiences around business goals and technology strategies.
Education
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology) or equivalent demonstrable expertise from professional experience and industry certifications.
