Your role at Clorox:

Join the Glad team as Brand Manager, where you'll help shape the strategic direction of a leading household brand. We're looking for an experienced brand marketer to shape business direction, drive digital-first communication strategy and execution, lead commercial innovation and GTM execution, and manage business analytics and reporting.

With a strong pulse on consumer behavior and a data-driven mindset, the Brand Manager will identify growth opportunities and risks, implement short- and long-term GTM strategies, and translate sales data into actionable insights. This role is crafted for a dynamic initiative-taker, who has a consumer-focused mindset, and thrives with cross-functional collaboration.

In this role, you will:

Lead breakthrough commercial innovation

  • Oversee brand packaging, claims development, and advertising execution.
  • Track in-market initiatives, lead segment acceleration plans, and recommend in-market optimizations to maintain a clearly superior consumer experience.

Drive digital-first creative strategy & execution

  • Brief creative agencies and collaborate to develop best-in-class Go-To-Market communication plans inclusive of digital-first creative development and execution.
  • Lead with an external focus – track the competitive landscape and identify bold opportunities for our brand to lead in storytelling, cultural relevance, and media moments that matter.

Own Business Analytics & Reporting

  • Leverage syndicated data and custom research to assess brand health and performance.
  • Deliver clear business summaries and narratives to the Leadership team.
  • Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly consumption analysis, coordinating with Sales and Integrated Business Planners, to build business performance narrative.
  • Own forward-looking share forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities to protect and/or over-deliver business goals.

Execute Strategic Plan

  • Execute the 3-year consumer-led growth plan that helps deliver Net Customer Sales, profit, and margin targets, including segment level base and innovation projects.

What we look for

  • 5+ years' experience in packaged goods or relevant marketing field
  • 7+ years of industry experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA or Masters is a plus
  • Demonstrated success in a Brand Manager role
  • Results Driven: Consistent track record of exceeding objectives, taking initiative and leading independently
  • Strong Analytical Skills & Data Driven Mindset: Ability to leverage business analytics to identify opportunities and craft actionable plans
  • Strategic Mindset & Thought Leadership: Ability to influence leadership at director level and above
  • Creative Strategy & Execution: Experience leading digital-first creative execution and cross-functional collaboration
  • Critical Thinking & Decision Making: Ability to navigate ambiguity to shape and drive plans with an understanding of marketing priorities and KPIs
  • Consumer Insight & Judgement: Transforms insights into growth opportunities and recommendations
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to drive conviction with stakeholders
  • Cross-functional coaching & leadership: Ability to coach and develop junior teammates within the brand and cross-functional teams
