Position Summary

As a Strategy Director, you are responsible for creating the strategic direction a brand will take in communications to achieve business goals. You will strategize, produce and interpret the key cultural, consumer and market intelligence required to design the best holistic communications plan. Your work should be held up as best practice and recognized by awards and client scores.

You will create strategic recommendations and engage with the client in an advisory capacity. You will report to the Client Lead to deliver brilliant strategic thinking for the client team. Creative thinking, presentation skills and leadership behaviors are critical to success. Your work should drive re-appraisal of communications and what media can do in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining excellent client relationships and understanding of the client's key business challenges
  • Being a valuable contributor during client meetings with the ability to challenge others' opinions
  • Delivering innovative thinking that inspires leading-edge solutions and award-winning breakthrough work
  • Arming the client team with knowledge to speak confidently about the strategic direction
  • Measurable client & strategy KPIs
  • Identifying, developing and overseeing delivery of unique and innovative strategies to achieve client results
  • Demonstrating how the strategy delivers on the business need with focus on results and measurement
  • Leading Infinity Planning for the team and client base
  • Writing cohesive communications architectures guiding how the brand will play in culture
  • Training, guiding and assisting the Strategy & Client teams in development and packaging of ideas
  • Collaborating with SBU and independent creative partners on client work
  • Using qualitative and quantitative research to develop insights into consumer connection with the brand
  • Partnering with Analytics to develop tools and proprietary planning, research and reporting models

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years in an integrated planning role in media, creative, innovation or communications (digital, content, invention, social, activation)
  • Ability to think creatively and analytically; deeply immersed in cultural understanding; motivated to understand people's motivations and behaviors

Wage and Benefits

We offer a Total Rewards package including medical and dental coverage, 401(k), flexible spending, life insurance, disability, employee discounts, stock purchase program, and paid family benefits. You will receive discretionary time off, Appreciation Weeks and Wellness Days. We also offer a competitive total compensation package, including a salary and eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. The salary range for this position is $130,000 — $150,000 USD.
